Stara planina-ascent to Midžor

Stara planina - belongs to the group of mountain ranges, and its main range extends approximately from Zaječar to the Black Sea in a length of about 550 km. Another name for Stara Planina is Balkan, which is how the entire Balkan Peninsula got its name. The total area of the Stara Planina massif, which encompasses Serbia, is 1,802 km² and is a protected natural monument with numerous reserves, waterfalls, relic plant and animal species.

Na ovoj turi ćemo ići na uspon na najviši vrh Midžor koji je na 2169 m. Sa vrha se pruža fenomenalan pogled na venac Stare planine i planine južne i istočne Srbije - Suva planina, Greben planina, Rtanj, Tupižnica.

The tour starts from the mountain lodge Babin zub, near which there is one of the symbols of Stara planina, the peak of Babin zub at 1758 m, where a rock is sculpted that resembles an old tooth in its shape.
