Trans Dinarica represents the first and only cycling route that connects all the countries of the Western Balkans. Trans Dinarica through Serbia is 426 km long, with cyclists overcoming a total ascent of 8025 m.

On this three-day cycling route, part of the Trans Dinarica route in Serbia, you will enjoy the landscapes of the vast meadows and pastures of Zlatibor. You will drive past dense forests on winding roads to Mokra Gora and Tara National Park. The tour eventually leads to Perućac, where the impressive canyon of the Drina River stretches out and ends in Bajina Bašta.

Tara is known for its dense forests, deep canyons, and incredible views, especially from Banjska Stena. This area is rich in rare plant and animal species, including Pančić's spruce. Tara is the perfect place for lovers of adventure, walking and cycling tours through wild and peaceful nature.

  • Located on the shore of the lake of the same name, Perućac is a small, picturesque place ideal for resting and enjoying the natural beauty. Lake Perućac, created by damming the Drina, enchants with its crystal clear water, perfect for swimming, boating, or fishing. Drina Canyon is one of the most impressive canyons in Europe, with cliffs rising above the emerald-green river.

  • A minimum of 5 passengers is required to organize the Trans Dinarica Zlatibor-Tara cycling tour at the given price. There can be a maximum of 8 people in one group with a guide. In the case of a smaller or larger number of passengers, the prices per person are as follows:
    • for 2 passengers 970 EUR
    • for 3 passengers 745 EUR
    • for 4 passengers 700 EUR
    • for 6 passengers 565 EUR
    • for 7 passengers 525 EUR
    • for 8 passengers 495 EUR
  • In order to organize the tour, a reservation is required at least 10 days before.
  • This cycling tour Trans Dinarica Zlatibor-Tara is intended for experienced cyclists who can overcome the indicated length and climb every day. Solid physical condition is required and participants must be able to move independently from the start point to the end point each day.
  • Transportation to the starting point (Zlatibor) and from the end point (Bajina Bašta) - we can organize transport from Belgrade or other cities to Zlatibor and from Bajina Bašta on request. Also, we can provide information about public transport (bus or train) on the specified routes.
  • The given price is per person, with accommodation in standard double rooms. Reservation for a single room is made upon request with a certain surcharge.
  • The tour goes through rural areas and small towns. We always choose authentic accommodation, taking into account sustainable development and allowing travelers to enjoy local hospitality and excellent food throughout the route.
  • The route can be extended on request, which implies a new program and a new price calculation.
  • In case you want to go on this tour independently without a guide and with your bike (self-guided) the price of the tour is 490 EUR per person (for a minimum of 2 passengers).
  • On request, the route can also be ridden by electric bicycles, which implies a new price calculation.

First day: Zlatibor - Mokra Gora

  • Meeting on Zlatibor in the morning at the hotel. Preparation for a cycling tour.
  • The route leads through quiet Zlatibor hamlets and pastures, offering phenomenal views of the surrounding hills. You will pass through Čajetina and then through landscapes rich in dense pine forests and authentic Zlatibor ambiance.
  • Upon arrival at Mokra Gora, sightseeing of Drvengrad - an authentic village on the Mećavnik hill, built according to the idea of ​​the famous film director Emir Kusturica. It was declared the most beautiful ethnic village in the world.
  • Accommodation on Mećavnik in authentic log cabins. Dinner. Overnight stay.
  • Information about the cycling route: length 38 km, ascent 520 m, descent 650 m, asphalt 100%.

Second day: Mokra Gora - Mitrovac Tara National Park

  • Breakfast. Departure for a cycling tour that leads to Tara National ParkThe route takes you uphill through thick forests and mountain serpentines, and every meter of ascent is rewarded with stunning views. On the way, you pass historical sites such as Tankosa's grave and enter the protected area of ​​the Tara National Park, where you arrive at Mitrovac, which is the center of the Tara National Park. We continue on the macadam road to Banjska Stena viewpoint from where there is a spectacular view of the Drina Canyon. Return to Mitrovac.
  • Accommodation in one of the private apartments. Dinner in a nearby restaurant with traditional cuisine. Overnight stay.
  • Information about the cycling route: length 37 km, ascent 1060 m, descent 659 m, asphalt 62%, macadam 38%.

Third day: Mitrovac - Perućac - Bajina Bašta

  • Breakfast. On the last day of your cycling tour, a slightly easier ride follows. The initial part is a short climb, followed by a descent through tunnels leading to to Lake Perućac and the Drina River which represents the border between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • A break in Perućac, a small, picturesque place ideal for resting and enjoying the natural beauty. The famous river is nearby Vrelo, known as the "River of the Year" because it is exactly 365 meters long, ending its course with a waterfall.
  • After the break, there is an easy drive to Bajina Bašta, about 20 km long. The tour ends near the famous House on the Rock, near which we can organize lunch.
  • Information about the cycling route: length 33 km, ascent 330 m, descent 900 m, asphalt 77%, macadam 33%.
