Location
Jablanik and Medvednik are located near Valjevo.
Jablanik represents the Dinaric mountain, with the highest altitude of 1274m. The mountain is specific for its extremely lush vegetation, of which beech forests predominate. Traces of trenches from the First World War can be seen under the highest peak of Jablanik.
Medvednik is specific in its appearance, which as you approach it from the direction of Valjevo, resembles a lying bear. The highest point is at 1244 m. Like Jablanik, Medvednik is also characterized by beech forests, but also numerous medicinal plants.
On this exciting tour, we will have the opportunity to climb two Podrinje-Valjevo mountains in one day and view the fantastic surrounding landscapes from the top.

Additional notes:
- Equipment for the Jablanik and Medvednik tour: Deep hiking boots with a vibram sole or deep sports shoes with stronger sole, backpack, layered wardrobe, adapted to weather conditions, we recommend trekking poles, bring enough water and some food (snacks, sandwiches, fruit).
- Information about a hiking trail:
- Length: around 15 km
- Total ascend/descend: around 600 m
- Category: easy-moderate
- Duration: about 6 to 7 hours with breaks
- For the realization of the tour, a minimum of 18 registered passengers are required.
- Price is for members of "Explore Serbia". You can find membership information here. For those who do not have a membership card, the price is 4700 dinars.
- Transportation from Novi Sad: the surcharge is 1200 dinars.
- Own transportation: is not possible, given that the trail is not circular, but starts from one mountain and ends on another.
- In case of insufficient number of registered passengers or unfavorable weather conditions, the deadline for notification of postponement or cancellation of the tour is 2 days before departure.

Trip cancellations by passengers:
- In case of cancellation of the trip by the passenger, 5 or more days before the tour date, the Agency retains the amount of 20% of the reservation costs.
- In case the traveler cancels the trip less than 5 days before the trip, the agency reserves the right to the entire amount. In case of replacement by another passenger who is found either by the passenger himself or by the Agency, 90% of the paid amount is returned to the passenger.
- In case of illness of the passenger and cancellation up to 3 days before the tour, the paid money can be returned or the amount can be transferred for another tour organized by the Agency, and the traveler is obliged to send medical documentation about the illness in writing. In case of illness of the traveler and cancellation less than 3 days before the tour, in addition to sending medical documentation about the illness, the traveler is obliged to compensate the Agency for the incurred costs (transportation and travel organization costs), and part of the money can be refunded.
The organizer of the tour is the travel agency Explore Balkans doo. With this program is valid Rulebook on conducting tours by Explore Balkans doo.
According to Article 79 of the Law on Tourism, protection is not provided for one-day tours in terms of travel guarantees.

Belgrade – Valjevo – Debelo Brdo
- Departure from Novi Sad at 5.30h.
- Departure from Belgrade at 7.00h.
- Journey to Valjevo, where we will take a short break for refreshments, and continue our journey to Debelo brdo.

Jablanik i Medvednik hiking
- From the Debelo brdo pass, we continue the van ride in the direction Jablanik, where the walking tour begins. Preparation for hiking.
- The highest peak of the Jablanik mountain (1274 m) is less than 3 kilometers away from the hiking trail through the forest until we reach the glades.
- From the top, we will look at Bobija, Povlen, Lake Stubo and Medvednik, to the foot of which we descend through a long meadow, until we enter the dense beech forest of Medvednik.
- Next is the climb to the top Medvednik (1244 m) and moving along its ridge. All the time, on the left side we follow the profile of Bobija and Gvozdacke rocks, while on the right side, there is a view towards the Valjevo foothills.
- At the end of the ridge, there is a careful descent to the Vojinov Stena lookout point, then a return across the Kedina Water to the "Krušik" mountain lodge on Medvednik, where transport awaits us.
- The total length of the trail is 15 km, we climb to the two highest peaks of the Jablanik and Medvednik mountains, and at no time do we hike on the same trail or asphalt road.

Medvednik - Valjevo - Beograd
- After the hiking tour, on the way back and in agreement with the group, a late lunch can be organized in one of the nearby restaurants.
- Return to Belgrade where we arrive around 9 pm.
