Location

Cappadocia, located in the heart of Turkey, is one of the most fascinating regions in the world. This area of magical landscapes, formed over thousands of years by volcanic activity and erosion, offers breathtaking views. It is located in Anatolia, which is also known as Asia Minor and which makes up the largest part of the territory of today's Turkey, representing a bridge between Asia and Europe.

Cappadocia is decorated with unusual relief forms known as "fairy chimneys", rocks in the form of towers, pillars, and mushrooms, which result from the erosion of volcanic ash. The valleys are dominated by different shades of red, yellow, and white, creating a landscape as if from another planet.

The name Cappadocia comes from ancient times and has its roots in the Old Persian language. In the original, the name was "Katpatuka", which is often translated as "land of beautiful horses". The name reflects the importance of the region in ancient times, known for breeding high-quality horses that were prized in the Persian Empire and later in the Roman Empire. Horses played a key role in military, commercial and cultural activities of the era.

Cappadocia has been home to different civilizations for centuries. Underground cities are carved into the rocks, like Kaymakli and Derinkuyu, which served as shelters in times of war. Christian monks built churches and monasteries in the rocks, painted with frescoes that testify to their artistic skill and dedication even today Göreme Open-Air Museum, which is under the protection of UNESCO, is one of the most famous cultural sites.

On our 5-day Cappadocia tour, you'll explore the beauty of nature and immerse yourself in the rich culture of this fascinating region. During the tour, we will hike through impressive valleys, such as Red Valley, Rose Valley, Love Valley, and Ihlara. In addition to physical activity, you will feel the spirit of Cappadocia through its people, traditions, and customs that have been passed down for centuries.
